Ebony Thorn doesn't spawn in Nyrol's, Balge does. You can get Ebony Thorn via Flutes or an Egg since he doesn't spawn in a dungeon.

In Column of The Prophet, whenever you get the Treasure room and get a key, it takes a few tries to actually get it open. Not sure if it's just me but by the time I actually do open it, the timer is done.
