Weekly Maintenance 12/16/2019

We will be having our weekly routine maintenance at 7 PM PST Monday evening. During the maintenance we will be doing the following:

• Added a Chest of Battleground Badges; this is being added to address issues between PvE and PvP players during Battlegrounds.

The Chest of Battleground Badges will be added to market next week as a small update is needed before it can be used by players; the change to reverted between other data updates that were made for the coming Christmas GM Event, the new Dragon's data, and a few other things.

Hello Seiichi, as I understand it, will you put Battleground Badges to be sold on the right market? If so, don't you think you can finish the pvp game? I say that, seeing what happened in the Prophet's Column, after the item was put on the market almost nobody else produces the Prophet's Column, and I worry if it doesn't happen with Battleground's pvp, it's hard to find match in Battleground. I understand that you want to help players who do not like to participate in Battleground, but what is the point of those players who want Battleground Badges, as it is only for pvp play.
Anyway, it's just an opinion, I don't think it's hard to get Battleground Badges, even for PVE players, just try hard and ask for help from guild friends.

I am not making this decision to help PvE players so much as I am making this decision to stop the attempts at PvE players trying to enforce their own rule on Battleground which has lead to reports and fighting between PvE and PvP players. The chest will not be cheap (500 shells for 100 Badges), but it means that players do not have to PvP at all if they so choose to.

We are also going to try to do some variable changes on Monday to lower BG to 3v3, rather than 5v5. We are also going to disable the ability to be in a team, so as to equalize teams potentially.

We will be looking at adding new additional rewards later on, probably when Aiden has more free time after she has sorted out her current situation. The issue is that PvE players on this server are very adamant about not doing any PvP, and I also cannot allow them to enforce a rule that prevents PvP as the last time I gave some leeway it was misused and lead to a large portion of PvP players leaving.

This literally is a damned if we do, damned if we don't situation. At least with this solution I can tell people who complain about BG that they have alternatives.

All i was asking, was for no pvp for the 1st run(s) (screenshot run) of the day. After that i was queing for everyone else, so others could continue to go in and pvp all they wanted. I tried to farm during 1st run(s), but when i kept getting killed, and couldn't get many points...and the pvpers were getting all the points. It was only a couple of ppl who kept doing it. Others were trying to explain to the pvpers not to pvp during the 1st run(s) of the day, but they wouldn't listen. There were other ppl there on the 1st run(s) (screenshot run), who didn't want to pvp either, and they were killed as well. So to clarify: i only asking for no pvp on 1st run (screenshot run) of the day...not for the continuing runs.

The issue wasn't the asking, the issue was the expectation that people had to obey what you asked. Battleground is a PvP mechanic, and one of the few that is available to PvP players in the game. What was done was the equivalent to going into someone else's house, ignoring their rules but enforcing your own.

As it is, PvE players can now earn Battleground Badges without doing Battleground, and if possible we will make it easier to do Battleground or at the very least start working on adding some more rewards.

Also with the exception or two people, no one is actually in trouble from the situation. Those people just made it to my list of people to not trust because they were trying to manipulate the situation for their own ends, and were lying about something Hater said.
