Suggestion Implemented Tower of the Past Eggs (CotP)

In the Column of the Prophet you can get 2 different dragons - Amber Eye and Stone Gaze. They are only catchable there. However, there was an egg obtainable for each of them in the old Column of the Prophet. You didn't have to hatch them, you got them directly with a right click on the mouse. In the new Column of the Prophet in the basic programming it can be seen that Unhatched Eggs are meant for these dragons, called Unhatched Egg of Resistance (Amber Eye) and Unhatched Egg of Breakthrough (Stone Gaze). However, these do not appear. Hence, it would be great to change this for various reasons:

a) The high ping that slows down reactions and makes it really difficult to catch them – additionally to the time pressure due to the countdown.

b) In addition, you also have to be strong enough to complete that many levels before they appear (if at all).

c) It is practically impossible to get these dragons with good values, apart from the determination of the main attributes, which doesn't work either.

Bug Report The greedy chests

If you own several chests in your housing (item slots of over 100) and switch to the integrated mode where you can access all chests (looks like a bank then), it happens that if you store an item on the second page it doesn’t work to take it out (with a right click on the mouse). On the contrary, if you have an item in the same place on the first page, it will be pulled into your inventory (backpack) instead of the item placed on the second page.

Bug Report Porthis_SunkenElysium_Bladeguard Survivors bugged

There is an issue with the respawn time of "Bladeguard Survivors" mobs near the "Syporf's Alchemy Experiment" event in Porthis. I have been going there at regular intervals for 2 days and they are not there. (And I stayed 3 hours there once to make sure there were no other players killing them).
That prevents me from doing the quest "Fragmented Soul" where I have to kill 8 of these mobs.

Dragon Increase in basic attributes for dragons

1. I would like to express serious criticism of the planned changes you have in mind with the dragons. If you want to increase the attribute bonuses it either has little effect or only negative effects. If you wish, I'll be happy to explain my concerns to you in detail. However, it would be very long and complex. That is why I will only list the better and more effective changes, with fewer disadvantages, and say something about them.


a) Instead of increasing the level, it would be sufficient to increase the points that are available for the distribution in the attribute network from 1605 to 2405. This could be used to better improve defense and attack. To avoid unnecessary coding work, it should be an additional bonus that you get for reaching level 100 with the dragon, such as a damage reduction by 20%. Further, this type of expansion will have no effect on the mounting damage. In plaintext this means that the player’s damage remains the same and it gets not increased unnecessarily (which in turn would be disadvantageous for dragons and other players (pvp)).


b) In order to make dragons even more useful in pvp, it would be very good if the skill Groll Heart (which you can only find on Brasten dragons) gets revised a little. Right now it only reduces damage while you`re on the battelground. However, it would make a lot more sense if it got the same effect as the one of the Groll Fortress Collar. This would then, no matter where and when players attack the dragon, reduce the incoming damage by 35%, which, as I said, is currently only the case on the Battelground.


c) For pve and pvp, the Mannhart Set (which is available from Amy in the Draconic Sanctuary) for dragons would need to be upgraded from level 98 to 108 or a completely new set designed with the following set of bonuses: To reduce the strength and crit chance as well as the piercing effects of players and NPCs, a toughness of 1000-1500 would be neccessary on this set. Also full resistance (special damage resistance) and a constitution / HP bonus in the same amount. PS: Toughness is not a value you can find on dragon armor, that’s why it‘s only executable as a set bonus.

Bug Report Solved Evolution appearance

Hello,
could it be possible to modify this weird appearance put on dragons when evolved ?
At least, for example, having the choice to keep those weird red mark things, or not... personal opinion, but I'm not really fan of it.
I know there's way more important to modify and ask >< but maybe, for example, thinking about a sign, a mark on a leg or something instead of this (scary =p) glowing effect thing ?

I don't remember buying Dragon Saga 'cash', I don't even have the game installed and even less an account linked to it. I must have made a mistake -_-"

Is it possible to 'turn' this cash into Dragon's Prophet cash, please ?

Suggestion Rejected Multiple Lootpets

Would it be possible to change the Lootpet buff, to not disappear if you call another Lootpet? I mean its technically already possible by spamming two different Lootpets fast to accomplish multiple looting Lootpets at once. But it would be cool to have atleast two out at the same time.

Bug Report Solved Ping spikes after server maintenance?

I started playing on Adept about 19 days ago, I didn't have any issues with DC's or ping (albeit I've seen so many complain about it) - but I started getting it myself around 2 days ago. I've heard that there was some testing going on with the servers and it started happening just around that time so I wonder if that's it.

I usually have around 150 ping (I'm guessing the servers are in NA or something) but now it started going up to 600 or more whenever I try to fight anything, making me unable to attack at all or see the enemy's attacks. It's become very difficult to play. This only started happening in the last 48 hours and didn't happen a single time during my entire playthrough to level 108.

Announcement Source Update Plans

Due to the DDoS attack that we have been dealing with since late May we had to delay our plans for the source code update as we wanted to focus on getting server stability back under control, which we mostly have now. We are still undergoing a large scale DDoS, but the load balancing and other changes we have made has mostly handled the major issues we had. We may still get a few issues once in a while, but those are generally related to the DDoS mitigation service.

Currently we are aiming to get the source update out within the next two weeks, either this coming Monday (September 21st) or the following Monday (September 28th). The initial update will include everything except the items to max or change Dragon attributes, as I will want to test them live to just verify that they work on the live server before I push them publicly; they will likely follow several days after the update, or at the most a week later if changes are needed.

We are also going to look at pushing language updates for French, Russian and German. I am still looking for a Chinese, and Japanese translator, and possibly a Turkish one depending on if the person who was interested still wants to do it.

We will also be looking at releasing the 4 dragons previously teased in the last development update (Developer Update - The coming update, and some more Dragons) and have started working on a new Dragon for Halloween.

Leading up to the update we will also be purging 1500+ shards; originally this was going to be 1400+ but we are going to wait until we can make a tool to automate checking the logs to delete only exploited shards below 1500+ (this exploit has been fixed in the source update). This was one of the things that lead to the delay, as we had to make the tools to track shards in every form that they are stored or used in the game.

EDIT: Things are looking more like it will be the 28th for the update, rather than the 21st. I got a lot of the data for the update completed, but there are a few backend changes that are needed before we can release. I am also trying to fix Shadow Cry, so that it works on more than one Dragon, but we'll see how far I get on that.

EDIT2: So I found how to make non-rare Dragons and rare Dragons have the same stats, however we will need to compile the patch and data and that will not be ready this Monday (yay for systems that are all different and spread out). The source patch will officially drop on the 5th now, as this will also give us a bit more time to make sure things are all done.

This patch is likely going to be fairly large, as it is going to have a large data update, and also some updates to binaries and shaders.

Dragon's Prophet Weekly Maintenance 9/7/2020

We will be having our weekly routine maintenance at 7 PM PST Monday evening. During the maintenance we will be doing the following:

This server will be longer than normal more than likely.

We are adding an additional server to the current infrastructure to add some additional load balancing, as well as to move away services such as SQL that have been affected by the ongoing DDoS. This should help to return the server to it's normal performance, though we have some additional ideas if more needs to be done.
