Heyo, I go by MadBuffoon. I just finished downloading and tried login into the game and it telling me servers are down. I been look around on here for a server status page or some kind of post thread for the status. Did I miss something?

You may have logged in while the server was under maintenance. I just logged in and it's opening without any problems. Please try again.

We do maintenance every Monday at 7PM Pacific until about ~11PM Pacific (sometimes can go longer).

I notice the Associated your discord account, but I dont like giving the power to join discord server power. Is their a discord server link I can just use to join?

Discord is only used for SSO, and it can be separated from your account.

In most cases, SSO solutions are not a bilateral sharing of data (other than site you are using it for), but more a way to share basic account information with third party sites you choose to.
