Event Best Media Contest

Because we're going to need a lot of images to be used for announcement features on the portal, I figured I'd make it a contest.

Rules for the contest:
  1. You can enter as many images as you wish
    • You will get 100 credits for each image you post, up to a limit of 10 images and a maximum of 1000 credits. Any additional images can be entered for the platinum reward, but only 3 will be selected out of every image submitted.
  2. Nameplates and UI must be turned off.
  3. You cannot submit the same image from multiple angles unless it is greatly different.
  4. You can only win 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, not all three. This is so that everyone has equal footing.
  5. You may not submit ugly ass pictures of your characters (Altun & Gonzoboobs).
    • Group photos that are stylistic enough will be considered for prizes.
Prizes for the contest:
  1. 1500 Platinum ($15)
  2. 1000 Platinum ($10)
  3. 500 Platinum ($5)

3/6/2017 - Server Maintenance and Ban Spree

Maintenance will being tonight at 8-10PM PST and hopefully end no later than 12PM PST.

The following items will be covered by the maintenance:
  • Game Server Restart
    • Backups
  • Patching of known exploits
    • Accounts that have abused these exploits will be banned, and wiped from the server. The players will also be mac address banned.
  • Banning accounts used to do login excessively (More than two accounts).
    • If you have abused the login event start a PC with me (http://community.adeptgamer.com/conversations/add?to=seiichi) and let me know all of your accounts, and which accounts you wish to keep.
    • If you feel you have been improperly banned you can also use the link above to contact me to see if your account can be re-instated.
    • We will be doing bans every maintenance.
  • Begin efforts to re-vamp the marketplace (Diamond and Shell).
  • All characters will receive 2x Lair Expansion and 2x Stable Expansion cards. This is for both current and new characters.
    • If abused, this will be removed and likely to not happen again.

To drive some more activity on the forum (hint hint) we're taking some suggestions from members on their favorite dragons and will then letting 22Rii choose which they wants to do first, or the most popular ones.

Now that the kinks have been worked out enough to relaunch, we will be officially opening up the Dragon's Prophet server.

For those who haven't already got a guild from the last server, or don't plan on making your own guild, I am making one, along with Rustkin and Lord Newb. 1.1 Introduction

"Rangers are exceptional marksmen who prefer to engage their foes at a distance. Their uncanny speed and heightened senses allow them to strike first and with deadly precision. Through excellent positioning and battlefield control they are capable of dispatching even the toughest aggressor. Rangers employ an arsenal of ranged weapons including guns and bows." - Character Creation

In this guide, I will be covering on Rangers w/ Traps that does insane damage, also being the best Damage Per Sec ( DPS ) on bosses. This build doesn't only works on PVE, but also PVP instead. The reason why this guide is being proposed was because of players doesn't really look up into Traps and some even say that the radius of the Traps are very small which this guide will prove that Traps are the best PVE skills for Rangers.


1.2 Attributes

As in every game, setting your attribute points in the right way, will help your character a lot. I'm going to explain what I'm using and why, but of course you can still set your own.

Strength
1 Strength increases your Physical Damage by +2 and your Physical Defence by +1​

Constitution
1 Point of Constitution increases your Health by +12, your HP Regeneration by +0.25 and your in-combat HP Regeneration by +0.01​

Ferocity
1 Point of Ferocity increases your Critical Hit Rate by +2 and your Critical Hit Power by +1. Ferocity also increases our Dragon Spell Damage part many of our skills.​

Intelligence
1 Point of Intelligence increases your Magic Damage by +2 and your Magic Defence by +1​

Focus
1 Point of Focus increases your Physical Defence by +5.42 and your Armour Penetration by +2. In addition to that, Focus increases the Elemental Damage part of many of our skills.​

Charisma
Charisma increases the uptime of your dragons, their attributes and it makes it easier to capture dragons.​

Dragon Affinity
1 Point of Dragon Affinity increases your Magic Defence by +5 and your Magic Penetration by +2

In Dragon Prophet, attributes building is random and goes well on increasing which stats you would need cause every attribute were never useless. These are some of my recommended builds.

Pure PVE DPS Highly Recommended for PVE
Full Ferocity
This build highly focus on DPS for PVE and because of that you'd have a not only damage but also high critical chance + critical damage as well.​

PVP & PVE Ranger
2 Ferocity | 1 Focus
This build is for those who mainly focus on PVE and some PVP damage as Focus increases your Armor Penetration which would do decent amount of damage towards tankers as well.​

Companion PVE
2 Ferocity | 1 Charisma
Due to Rangers not having healing skills (Not Dragon Soul Skills), Rangers would need some Ferocity to have some damage output, also the companion would also be a part of either DPS or Tank (Recommend Tank) to help you out while farming.

Guide LVL 1-44 in 2 quests

Hello all,

Got a request on some ways to quickly lvl in the game. This is a good start if you want to skip the first couple of maps. Note that I would NOT recommend anyone that is new to the game doing this due to needing to learn skills and how to play your character. If you lvl up in this way you have no gear to continue and quests you need to do might be very hard to finish. This is mostly used to lvl alts quickly if you dont want to play the first couple maps again. Anyways here we go!

I am SexyMCnewbbet and I am here to be your guide to lvl your alts from 1 to 44 in a short time! It took me about 30-40 minutes to including taking photos and missing a couple of boats. Not as fast as having a friend lvl you but still nice if you like to solo.

When you first make your toon you can tele to Arteicia or do the starter quest and use the bird transport in Peon Farm or whatever its called. You will want to start by going from Arteicia to Underworld Port. I would recommend a flying dragon so you can fly over hostile mobs getting to the port and getting around on the other maps.

You will find the Airship Dockmaster on the last dock furthest away from town saying his ship is going to Khalon Wharf. Note that if you are having a friend lvl you at the pirate beach this is the same way you will go for that if they cant tele you.

You will land here on the Orlandra map If you are looking for the beach its north of this point.

Once you get to the Wharf go to the opposite dock from the one you just landed on and set a transportation point. You can get to the book by hitting T by default or by looking at the drop down menus. You will use this later to save on time since you need to use this dock to get to the second quest later.

You will need to work your way up to Valden so you can find the Lost Puppy. This will be the first quest we do. Note that I am towards the bottom of the map and the town is on the other side of the map.

Once you get to the town follow the path past it and keep along the wall so you don't agro the raptors. This is the spot you can find the puppy.

You will need to distract the raptors shown try to drag them and have them follow you along the rock wall behind them so the dog does not agro them when its running back into town. It is pretty easy but sometimes it can be a pain of the dog agros the raptors before they follow you. If the dog attacks the raptors its kinda messed up until someone comes and kills the raptors so the dog can go back to its spot.

When your ready find the puppy and get close to it once you get close enough it will start to make its way into town it does not follow you and automatically goes to the town. This is why you need to distract the raptors so the puppy doesn't go after them.

Once the dog makes it back into town you automatically finish the quest make sure you get closer to it once it hits the wooden ramp so you get credit. The raptors should not follow you that far.

This got me to lvl 35 I did get to lvl 2 by picking up an egg on the way over to the town. Now this is with current exp. To compare this gets you close to lvl 23 on the normal exp settings. Now use that transport book again and teleport back to the dock master to get to the 98 map.

This one will take you to the Temple of Sammos.

Now you will need to make your way over to Tyre Lake.

This is a hidden quest. It will not activate till you find one of the underwater boxes in the lake. You need to collect all 3 before you can hand it in.

Here is the location of the first box. You do not need to do it in order but i just did it this way since they go in a line almost.

You will see the tree bark slightly above the water. Just dive under it and you will find the first box.

Once you collect one of the boxes right click on the box and the quest pops up for you to accept.

It can be a bit hard to spot but this is the only rock in the area if your going by map location. Its in the group of vegetation.

Here is the 3rd box it is off to the left of the little lighthouse looking thing with a boat in front of it.

Again its in the vegetation still not as hard to find since nothing else is really around.

Now that you have all 3 boxes make your way back up the river and stop on the dock on the left.

You fill find Buck Ross just hand it in and your done !

After handing it in I got to lvl 44 :) Not quite to 50 for that exchange box but a couple quests in Wynn will get that finished in no time.

Earn credits to earn free Diamonds (or other currency)

A while back we put in a place a system to allow people to earn Diamonds (or currency in other games) by just being active and posting on the forum. Here is the breakdown on how you can earn credits.
  • Daily Login: 50 Credits
  • New Thread: 50 Credits
  • New Thread (Guide / Tip): 250 Credits
  • New Post: 25 Credits
  • Thread Deleted: -100 Credits (-250 Credits for Guides)
  • Post Deleted: -50 Credits
While we will be giving out free credits for the above things, people who abuse the system will be removed from the ability to earn credits, or banned if it isn't their first infraction.

Sections such as introduction are exempt from earning credits, and any spamming will get your ability to earn, use or transfer credits removed.

  1. Members should always be respectful of each other and of staff. Insults and flaming are never acceptable, and arguments must remain civil and only ever in the debate forum.
  2. When posting try to remain on topic and post appropriately. Threads should always be posted in the proper section, and posts should always be related to a threads topic. If you are unsure of where a thread should go, post it in a general forum and it'll be moved if needed.
  3. AdeptGamer is primarily an English community, so threads and posts should be written in English. If you need to post in another language, please include an English translation.
  4. Do not argue with the AdeptGamer staff. If you are asked to not do something then you should do as you are told. If you have an issue with a staff members decision, create a private conversation with @Seiichi and said staff member.
  5. We have a zero tolerance when it comes to threats of violence, harassment, racism or anything that is hate-related. Any complaints as such will be investigated, and will lead to a suspension or ban from the forum, Discord, game server or network depending on severity. False claims will also have similar repercussions.
  6. Members must always respect each others privacy and may not expose private information without consent. This includes pictures, website profiles (Facebook), messenger accounts or any personal information.

Content Rules
  1. Do not post solely to increase your post count. Short posts, posts that have little to do with the topic, or non-content posts in general will be deleted, and eventually lead to be moderated or banned.
  2. Do not publicly denounce another user. If you feel something should be brought to the administrations attention, do so through Discord or through the personal conversation system.
  3. Do not post porn, illegal programs, or anything inappropriate. Currently we will not be allowing this at all, but may in the future make an 'after dark' section for more adult content.
  4. Do not advertise competing networks or servers. The post will be deleted and you will be warned the first time, and removed the second time. If we do not run or have no intention of running the game in question, then it is more of a gray area, and you should get approval first.
Avatar & Signature
  1. Signatures and avatars should be nothing over the top or with the intention of being malicious (eg brightly flashing animations). Signatures should also not be overly long nor should it break any of the above rules.
  2. The current signature rules for standard members are as follow (these rules may change):
    • Signatures should not exceed 6 lines
    • Signatures should have no more than 3 images
    • Signatures allow all BBCode formatting
    • Signatures do not allow links
Appeals & Punishments
  1. Forced Moderation
    • If a member has repeatedly broken content rules, they will then require all their posts and threads to be actively approved by staff. Continued abuse will lead to the following punishments.
  2. Temporary Ban
    • Depending on what you have done, or how many prior warnings or punishments you have had you will be banned for period of time which will be up to the staff.
  3. Permanent Ban
    • If you still do not get the point by now, you'll be permanently banned from the site, and quite probably from the Discord and games as well.
  4. Appeals
    • If you feel you have been punished inappropriately and wish to appeal you may contact the staff via PC or Discord. When appealing, layout what punishment you were given, why you were punished and why you think you should not be punished. Depending on who punished you or why you were punished your appeal may be listened to.

Announcement Server Transfer Completed

We have now finished the transfer to the new server, hopefully without any hiccups. If you notice any bugs please post them in the bug report and suggestion forum, and we will do our best to quickly address them. Sky Island Merchant, Laedis 102 quest, and Replacement are things that are known and should not be reported.

The donation system has also been brought back up, and is currently working so anyone who was wanting to donate before the server transfer can do so now.

Announcement Dragon's Prophet Downtime & Server Transfer

Due to the DMCA notice that was sent by Nexon regarding the Vindictus server our server host for Dragon's Prophet has decided that they do not want to host us any longer, and that we will have to transfer our server somewhere else.

The downtime tonight was to assure that the Diamond's database, the character database and the servers were all backed up in preparations for the move. While making sure to back up early is convenient and provides redundancy for us, it means that players will experience a rollback and it will inconvenience you. As such we will be increasing the lootrate and possibly a few other things to allow players to mess around on the server for as long as it is up.

To re-iterate, anything you have done after 11/28/2016 7PM PST will not be saved, and will be rolled back when the new server is up.

While we are going to try to make this as quick and painless as possible, it was unexpected so we have no ETA currently. If you have any questions or problems, you can message me directly on the forum or Discord.

Diamond redemption is disabled until the server is back up.
