Game Tips Armor Sets - Images and Drop Info (almost complete)

While talking with another player in game about the drop location of a set he was looking for, I was reminded of a thread I used to work with back in the NA/EU days with images of all the sets and their drop locations. Here is that thread: Armor Skins - Professions & Gear - http://www.dragonspropheteurope.com/forum/topic/17977-armor-skins/

It is not entirely complete but is still very comprehensive and helpful if you're looking for a specific set!

The images from the Dragon's Prophet EU server have been uploaded here: Armor Sets

Suggestion Rejected Feeding a dragon dragon shards

Whenever one owns a dragon we know he can train his skills, get dragon training levels, distribute dragon attributes and equip it with dragon items. Now in addition to that I propose feeding dragons dragon shards to increase the respective attribute even further to a certain limit for a limited period. For example feeding your dragon a magic damage shard would increase it's magic damage for 1 hour. You can feed it up to a certain amount of energy every hour. It would be able to buff dragons a bit more.
On the other hands maybe dragon cybergenetic engineering would be more viable. One can use dragon shards to increase his dragon physique up to a certain amount of energy or shards. Maybe one could even take it a step further and infuse certain parts of his dragon with shards. For example infuse his claws with magic resistance which one could add an extra effect to it.

Announcement Recruiting Wiki Editors and Lore Writers

I've been working on the wiki off and on for a few months now, and it should be be ready for people to begin submitting content. As such I am looking for a few people who are interested in helping us edit, maintain and verify submissions. Below is what we are going to be looking for for wiki editors.

Wiki Editors
  • Experience playing Dragons Prophet
  • Strong grasp of English (does not need to be primary language)
  • Willing to help edit and maintain pages
  • Willing to help organize and optimize the wiki
  • Active in game and on the forum (or willing to be more active)
Currently we will want to focus on getting dragons added to the wiki as that is the template that I have already completed (examples below). As new templates are needed I can develop them and add them to the wiki, though that can take up to a week or longer developing on my time availability.

Template: DragonTemplate - http://community.adeptgamer.com/wiki/DragonTemplate
Example: Dragons Prophet:Runewake Dragon - http://community.adeptgamer.com/wiki/Dragons_Prophet:Runewake_Dragon
Example: Dragons Prophet:Mountain Traveler - http://community.adeptgamer.com/wiki/Dragons_Prophet:Mountain_Traveler
Example: Dragons Prophet:Opal Fortune - http://community.adeptgamer.com/wiki/Dragons_Prophet:Opal_Fortune
Example: Dragons Prophet:Liquid Silver - http://community.adeptgamer.com/wiki/Dragons_Prophet:Liquid_Silver
Example: Dragons Prophet:Cobalt Lightning - http://community.adeptgamer.com/wiki/Dragons_Prophet:Cobalt_Lightning

Every example above is autmomatically generated by filling out the variables and conditionals within the DragonTemplate template. Eventually the majority of pages will have templates to minimize the amount of work needed or partial templates to include blocks or other elements to the page.

Lore Writers

As mentioned in the State of the Network announcement a while back we are now making the move to source code soon, and we're going to need to start expanding and revising some of the lore for Dragon's Prophet. We are going to be looking for people who have an interest in it to work with others so that we can come up with the new lore and changes to the existing lore.
  • Experienced with Dragons Prophet
  • Strong grasp of English (does not need to be primary language)
  • Familiarity with existing lore
  • Creative
  • Willing to work in a group
Lore will need to meet approval of the Dragon's Prophet team, and will not be guaranteed to put into the game immediately.

If you would like to apply for either or both positions respond here; not everyone is guaranteed to be chosen.

  • Poll
August Dragon Poll

Which dragons should be on the Marketplace for August?

  • White Stallion

  • Magmaron (and unhatched egg)

  • Sylvaran (with buffs and unhatched egg)

  • Elaris the Enchantress (and unhatched egg)

  • Utyon (with buffs and unhatched egg)

  • Steel Demon

  • Gnarlhorn

  • Ebon Shadowfang

  • Sadras the Bone-Eater (and unhatched egg)

  • Brasten Ouram [Duskreaver] (and unhatched egg)

Results are only viewable after voting.

Going to let the community decide on which dragons we'll add to the Marketplace for August; everyone has three votes, so pick the dragons that you like the most.

I am including one Brasten to see if people would like to see it on the Market; this does not mean it will be added unless there is a lot of support for it.

Multiple Forum Accounts

This only applies to forum accounts, not game accounts.
Because of the way our registration works, we are going to start enforcing a single account per person. We were letting it slide a little but to potentially prevent any issues with abuse of the credit system we are going to begin merging and deleting multiple accounts. If you need to create additional accounts for family members (spouse, significant other, family member or room mate) you will need to notify staff so that an exemption is made for your accounts.

I will be contacting people with multiple accounts alerting them prior to merging them or deleting them.

Housing, Furniture Sets, Housing Buffs and Dragon Incubation

Housing has never really gotten much love from Runewake, and there really isn't much good furniture in the game (or at least useful furniture). There is also the whole issue with encouraging people to dance for your nests.

To help remedy or fix the above we thought to add Furniture Sets that add incremental buffs (Experience Increase, Drop Increase, Green/Blue/Purple Increase, Crafting Success, Extraction Success, Charisma, Dragon Influence and other buffs that do not give a bonus to PvP). The way the concept of this would work is that for every item of the set you own, your buff would go up by 1-2% or by a solid integer, with a maximum dependent on the item set itself.

How does this effect incubation? We would make these buffs effect friends that care for your nests, giving them a portion of what you as an owner would get. An example would be having a full Drop Buff furniture set, which gives you as an owner 10%; if a room mate came to care for your nests they would earn 2% of that, with a maximum of 10% for caring at other houses. This will hopefully encourage more cares.

We will also be trying to do away with the requirement of being a room mate to care for eggs, allowing anyone to care for them but only room mates able to earn the buffs (items would still be rewarded for cares). This will hopefully help get cares from people who are not on at the same time, or people who just come across a house with eggs to care for them.

Something that may be more difficult as it requires doing a new UI which is not easy to do on Dragons Prophet, is to create a "Care Board" where we would list the number of eggs and the possible buffs people could receive for caring. This may not be possible, but it's something we could at the very least do through a thread on the forum.

Wanted Egg Dancers for Housing or Apartment

Anyone that needs egg Dancers please enter Island, Character name, and how many eggs . Please also indicate H for house and A for Apartment. This way a dancer can PM you to be added to your room mates list. Thank you .

Suggestion Rejected Possible MP Item (Loot Pet Idea)

This is a long shot from ever being implemented, I know, but some other players and I thought it would be a cool idea while talking in game the other day if there was a Marketplace Item you could buy that would temporarily allow you to use the Capture Dragon function on any non-NPC, non-boss mob one time to "capture" it and make the model smaller, then it would use the loot pet code and become a loot pet. For example, I'd purchase the item for say 999 dias then go out and see something like an ostriack, use the item and it temporarily disables the "this is not a dragon" response from the game and then lets me use the capture hotkey on the ostriack. The ostriack is then a part of my loot pets inventory (its item picture could be one of the generic eggs used for loot pets) and I can take it out and a mini model of it will follow me around and loot. This function could also work for wild dragons to become loot pets.

We just thought this would be a fun idea and something a lot of players might opt to purchase, since it's somewhat like a "custom" loot pet :D

30% Diamond Bonus Weekend

We're going to have a Diamond Bonus sale until Sunday at 12:00 AM PST. This is going to be our first sale on the new system, so if you haven't already make sure that you've associated your account here so that you can redeem your Diamonds.

With the new system purchases will give you VIP Points at a 1:1 ratio, so 3900 Diamonds will equal 3900 VIP Points. Because we now are able to reward VIP points, we will be ending the VIP Coupons for every $10 spent when this sale ends, so this is the last chance players have to get VIP Coupons.

Lets Talk Brastens

Here is a list of every Brasten, with the top 5 bolded ones being the ones currently implemented in game:
Of those 17 dragons, the following weren't meant to be implemented as Battleground rewards and if I can find the page it was available for purchase on TW at one point.
Getting to the point, we are going to implement missing Brastens, but we have yet decided what to do with the Brastens that weren't meant for the Battleground.

My personal opinion would be to put them on the Marketplace, but then to also use them as rewards for official Dragon's Prophet tournaments once our population is large enough to support it. This allows people who do not want to PvP to get a limited selection, and people who do enjoy PvPing to win them by pariticipating in tournaments that offer large rewards.

Feel free to voice your opinions, and share any thoughts you may have.

Do passive skills increase active skills for a dragon?

As most of us know a dragon has 4 basic attacks, strike, sweep, pursue and impact. Now there are a couple of passive skills that increase these, however do these passive skill affect active strike, sweep and impact skills?
To be more specific,
Passives for
- Impact:
Fiery tank
Intimidating impact
Elemental impact
- Strike:
Ripping strike
Shattering strike
Mighty strike
Glacier strike
Current strike
Dragon spell strike
Elemental strike
- Sweep:
Power sweep
Elemental sweep
Forceful sweep
Monster Clash

Do they affect actives for
- Impact:
Mighty impact
Obilerating impact
- Strike:
Raging smash
Frenzied strike
Fiery hunting
- Sweep:
Crushing sweep

There's alot more than this but just wondering in case.

Announcement State of the Network

It has been quite a while since our last network update, and since we have recently reached a milestone in some of our projects I figured I would post an update showcasing the work that has been done, and what we have planned.

First of all we have recently gotten the source code of Dragon's Prophet to a state of parity with the current version of the server we are running. This means that we can move forward with additional bug fixes, new functionality, new content and new marketplace items. It has been a long and arduous battle for @Light to get the test server to the state that it is in due to how unorganized, badly written and undocumented the code for Dragon's Prophet is.

Below is some of what Light has had to deal with; the first image is relating to bag expansion and the second is related to mastery reset. These are actually legible Lua scripts compared to the majority of the code in this game, and when you have 1,300+ files of mostly illegible code that lacks a clear organization structure it makes fixing or finding things extremely difficult. The vast majority of bugs reported are related to Lua, while others have some issues within the actual engine or game logic itself.

Getting to the point that we are currently at, with some breaks in between, has taken the better part of 6 months of constant work from Light on the development side, Haterslayer with his knowledge of Dragon's Prophet and experience in GMing and my constant harassment of players. Light and myself easily put around 12-15 hours a day towards the network, and Haterslayer puts quite a bit of time into researching and documenting the game and building the weekly events.

Now that we are ready to move on with source code, we will be testing for the next few weeks to make sure there are no major bugs that will delay a release of first update on source code. During this testing phase we will be looking at fixing the bugs that have been reported since the launch of the server, looking into some of the suggestions requested by the community, as well as laying groundwork for new functionality or features.

As far as custom content goes, we still have some work that needs to be done to the tools that we have, as well as need time to get familiar with them. The first bit of content that we'll be working on is releasing the unfinished zone Runewake was working on as well as the unreleased dungeon "Devouring Void". You will recognize the final boss of Devouring Void as what Hater has lovingly nicknamed Tibtibs, and has used recently during our weekend events.

full

full

Our focus will be finishing up the existing content, and then extending or overhauling content to bring it back in line with the original storyline (and tutorial). We'll be gladly taking advice or opinions on world building or lore in the suggestion section of the forum.

Aside from Dragon's Prophet, we have been working on a lot of things behind the scenes that people who are active in our Discord will perhaps know about.

The first of which is the development of our new integrated registration system, and integrated purchasing system which will be used for all of the games on our network in the future. I've previously previewed the checkout system and how simple it is, but it also allows people to register multiple accounts per game, and manage the password and secondary password of those accounts as needed. We also currently have support for adding existing Dragon's Prophet accounts, however there will be a limit to how many you can add so I would avoid adding care accounts.

We have been in talks with another development team to bring a customized Runes of Magic server onto our network for several months now. We will be hopefully welcoming them and the server officially on the first of August, otherwise it will be sometime shortly after. This development team is completely separate from Dragon's Prophet, though we may have some crossover to bring some new content to both games at some point in the future.

We are also going to be working on releasing a Final Fantasy XI server, headed by @choochoo. Work has just started, and some issues need to be fixed but we hope to have this available for beta testing sometime within August, and a release date is tentatively sometime towards the end of August or sometime within September.

A series of Minecraft servers is also currently in the works by @Stealth (Peturabo), and we will be releasing the first of which sometime in August, with several more shortly after. Stealth is a long time friend of mine, and is a big reason that we're able to do as much as we can as he has helped support us and helped us grow quicker than we would have. Minecraft will help to pay builds, as well as to stabilize our finances to expand as we need to, and to hire more people.

Our RaiderZ server is currently been demoted back to development to figure out how to solve some data issues and currently has no ETA. The primary issue was that many quests didn't properly complete even when the objective was met, and that prevented certain events from triggering or from much of the gameplay from developing.

Now that Dragon's Prophet is entering a testing and fixing stage, we will also be re-applying some time towards Dragon Saga (also known as Dragonica). We need to update some of the data, and get some of the content to a working state before we can put it back into testing. We will hopefully be putting work into custom content sometime after the release of Dragon's Prophet.

Swordsman Online is still on hiatus as we focus on our other games, but we will likely finish fixing the one issue preventing us from testing our server, and then work to get that released. The focus of Swordsman will be mostly on the PvP, as it has one of the most balanced systems in any games I have seen.

We are also going to be releasing a World of Warcraft 3.3.5 Wrath of the Lich King server. Testing will start within the next few weeks, and it will possibly release sometime within the next month. The initial server will be Vanilla, but we will possibly look at other servers.

That covers the majority of things that will be happening for the next few months, and I will possibly look into doing a more solid roadmap when possible

Sorcerer 1 Handed haberace PvE/PvP (Aggressive Blitz)

Hello again! I am bringing another vicious build into the light. Haberace returns with a 1 handed build sure to shock your opponents into submission while looking cool. Lets start with my suggested attribute set-up.

ATTRIBUTE POINTS:
Ferocity: 200 (Most of the skills in this build hit lots of times, in order to amplify the damage we are dealing with so many hits we will want a very high crit chance and power!)
Intelligence: 112 (we have the rest of the points here since INT is this god's main source of damage)

BASIC MASTERIES:
Earth shield/stasis 1/10
(I'm just going to clump these together since they are pretty much in all of my builds. extra hp and a stun break)
Draconic Brilliance 8/10 (INT bonus, what else do you need?)
Elemental grasp 10/10 (this skill is a must on every sorc build, always)
Elemental Scar 10/10 (we want lots of crit chance, this is an excellent source)
Elemental Activation 10/10 (30% more damage for 14s, gotta love it. add adrenaline surge for more tasty damage)

WEAPON MASTERIES:
Electric Pulse 10/10 (3s CD and hits 7 times, lots of damage and can interrupt)
Frost Beam 10/10 (5s CD these things are great, they AoE and you can have up to 3 at once, lots of extra damage here, fricken laser beams man...now all we need are sharks)
Roaring Thunder 10/10 (THIS is one of my personal favorite skills in the whole game, great damage, comes with a free combo, stuns, recovers mount stamina, it's a big lightning bolt and it hurts.)
Thunder Core 5/10 (honestly I only have this cause it is required to get the next skill but it is very powerful in combination with it.)
Lightning Flash 10/10 (3s CD hit 5 times, hits 10 times with Thunder core. can you see all the crits?)
Frost ring 5/10 (long range freeze, maybe 4 of these points can be used elsewhere.)
Ice Shard 10/10 (1 big AoE hit of DAMAGE, very powerful and restores 75 AP. Not bad at all)

DRAGON GOD MASTERIES:
Thunder Mark 5/10 (Hits fairly hard and restores 180 SP, in PvP it can brutally stun a player and ruin their day.)
Thunder Wings 10/10 (extremely powerful move, 3 forward penetrating hits of brutality, use the left side to recover SP)
Thunderstorm 10/10 (the big boss slayer, in pvp it's amazing for taking forts and in PvE it destroys any large enemy in seconds, in the right situation it dishes out more dps than any skill in the game. absolutely brutal. against players it probably wont hit but if it does it hurts. Use the left version)

This build is a solid build I have used since the dawn of time and has never let me down when I need some thrilling 1H action. So fast and furious you'd need lots of car puns to accurately describe it.
Let me know what you think!

Thanks for reading and have a fabulous day!

Sorcerer 2 Handed Haberace PvE (Rotator Obliterator)

This is a fun and fairly simple PvE build I have used since the first days of the new mastery system.
To start, I'll mention my attribute set-up for the build.

ATTRIBUTE POINTS:
200 Intelligence (Of course this stat is favored due to being the main source of dps)
100 Ferocity (Should be just enough to get your crit chance to about 70% with proper stats on gear)
12 dragon Affinity (I put the rest of the points here since DA is a good source of damage from your gear and even a few points gives a % bonus to that.)

BASIC MASTERIES:
1/10 Earth Shield(just the first level gives a decent chunk of hp, extra levels don't give very much unless you are a D/A build)
10/10 Draconic Brilliance(very obvious, lots of damage here)
10/10 Elemental Grasp(again, obvious, damage damage damage)
10/10 Elemental activation(Very powerful buff, 30% more damage for 14s)
8/10 Elemental Scar(since we love dps, raising that crit chance is a wonderful thing, if your crit chance without it is already at least 70% then you can 8/10 Draconic affinity for a bit more damage)
1/10 Stasis(just 1 point is enough since the only gain is a small amount of extra hp per second, we just need the cc break for emergencies)

WEAPON MASTERIES:
10/10 Rock Arrow
(powerful, quick, low CD, 3 hits, forward penetration)
10/10 Fireblade (decent damage, very crucial to the build with an extremely low CD)
10/10 Flame Barrage (Massive damage, this is your bread and butter)
10/10 Shock Rock Spike (right) strong move that knocks mobs around, rebuilds mounted stamina)
10/10 Celestial Impact ( right) strong AoE, recovers mounted stamina)
10//10 Ignite (powerful burn that destroys magic defense too)

DRAGON GOD MASTERIES:
1/1 Pray to Haberace
10/10 Prairie Fire
(left) massive damage, low CD, sp recovery, conditional AoE)
10/10 Netherbomb (left) The most powerful move you have, if flame barrage is bread and butter, this move is the perfect amount of delicious jelly that makes everything so perfect)
4/10 Hell Flames (right) why 4 points? cause you need 1 point for the next attack. combo for flame barrage, this move restores a burning flame when it hits a target with ignite. you can remove points from this skill and add them to cluster fire for funsies)
1/10 Flaming Tornado (valuable stun break, knocks enemies away and does alright damage, restores a burning flame. a vital skill.

All in all, this is a very simple and balanced build for any player. It deals greats amount of damage very quickly and with proper rotations and timing you will never run out of AP, SP, or mounted stamina.

I hope everybody enjoys the build. I'll post builds for other gods and situations over time.

Thanks for reading and have a fantastic day!

Old Player Coming Back, Hi Everyone!

I used to play on NA before it shut down and switched to EU after, but the game faded on me after the playerbase got small. It's really exciting to have found an active community of players again, this game is too wonderful to just leave in the memories! Now that I'm getting back into the game, is there anything specific I should know about this server's version that would be different from the official servers'?

Bakra vs Puretia - Should We Do Both?

I am just curious whether anyone else is starting over and doing the Bakra zone since a lot of people were never able to access it. (Me, for one) I realize we can jump ahead to get closer to the level we left behind on the other server, but I want to see what I missed before. That being said, I was curious if there would be any reason to ALSO do the Puretia starter zones, other thank being able to also get the Slinking Squirrel companion - which is cute, by the way. Meanwhile I am really looking forward to getting my Faithful Hound companion from Bakra. :)

Thanks!
