Play on Linux

Has anyone tried to play/start the game on Linux? (Using emulators)
I had Ubuntu as a second system in 2016, and I can remember, that I started DP on it - so the start itself is not impossible. But I can't remember anything about the playing process?. So maybe it was possible to start, but impossible to play. Has anyone any experience?

There's a lot of Windows specific things about Dragon's Prophet and it would be difficult if not impossible to get working on Linux.

I had talked to Dragon about getting it working on Linux, especially with the Steam Deck, but because of the sheer undertaking we are unlikely to do that.

Wine has come a long way since 2016, there was a big recent patch that improved compatibility for a lot of older directX games. All you can do is give it a try.
