Nyssilth, the Toxic Tyrant

Driven to madness is this sad tale of a dragon who in the wilderness, was led into near extinction.

The body of the crazed Nyssilith is vibrant and striking - a warning to those who dare tread in its lair. The color is produced by highly venomous glands that network around its body, paralyzing every muscle of those it touches.

There is, however, a flaw to this almost perfect system. While Nyssilith was able to repel the dragons that tried to claim territory away from it, the venom on its skin was not effective on Shax. What's worse, is that the toxin employed by Nyssilith is one of the many components that Shax use in their factories. Because of this, the large majority of this dragon and their kind are kept in solitary confinement, to protect the few that remain.

Storage methods are ruthless however, little room for the dragon to move, underfeeding and lack of light invites an unquellable rage within their originally rather territorial disposition.

There was one flaw in the plan of the Shax. While they were indeed immune to the venom on the skin of Nyssilith, the dragons noxious breath was known to melt all living matter. While they took measures to make sure the dragon was well secured in his prison, it was only a matter of time before the metal bonds weilding it in place were shattered and Nyssilith the Tyrant took reign of freedom once again.

After much difficulty, this dragon was tracked down by the Laedis Academy and after careful conservation and rehabilitation - it was made available to Osirians, who are also immune to its skin-venom.

Due to the rarity and difficulty breeding these creatures, they are only made available under limited provisions.
