When combining shards is there any trick to getting more DMG for a combine or is it all a base increase for each combine.

It was calculated a while ago that the following combines are the optimal way to get to a 1k shard as fast as possible with the lowest use of shard/shard binding agent ratio.

So you still have to use shard binding agents in some of the following steps:
2 * 280 = 319
4 * 319 = 443
4 * 443 = 615
4 * 615 = 850
2 * 850 = 1k

This formula does not work for this server, as once you go over lvl 105 the shard drops goes from 184 energy to 198.
So on this server you have 302's instead of 280's.
A lot of people here though tend to do x10 302's to get 462, and then do x10 462 to get 706, but not everyone does.
However the most common shards you'll find for trade and/or sale are 462 energy ones.

Since I'm new on this server I didn't know that, but that just means I'll have to re-calculate once I get to end-game, it's a waste of both shards and binding agents if there would be a more optimal way.

How many 706's do you need to get to 1k+? 3 or 4?

1 * 706 takes 1k 198 energy shards so that makes at least 3k shards needed to get just 1 1k+ energy shard.

While with the 184 energy way you only need 2520 shards. So basically I would need 500 less shards that are lower energy to start with.

Should be at least 5 , and u will got a ~1022
With 4 u should be at 979

Yes but that u wouldn't like at all
As more shards u use as higher is the dmg.
U could beginn with 198 or u beginn lower and even build your 198 (they will got few more dmg which not is quite a lot to do this )
So , a good technique for what u planned didnt exist

thanks for the help yal ima tryn use this to the best i can. I've always just added whatever i had and hit combine I have to look a lil closer at the energy numbers... Ive always gone by the damage numbers. Thanks again.

2x302=344 without
4x344=477 with
4x477=663 with
2x663=782 with and without 755
2x782 is like 850-890?idk and then 2 of those is like 1000+


(with and without i mean the glue for shards)

that saves me the trouble for calculating ty
