Purple Sets

Ok, so I mentioned adding the purple zone armours to the diamond market or shell market like over on EU. The reason for this being, its not always easy to get 3+ people to run the dungeons to get all the materials required for these sets. I was then asked to make a forum post to see what other people thought of the idea before this happens.
The sets in general aren't great in terms of what they do unless you're at those levels seeing as the levels are 60, 70, 80, 90 and 94. they're mostly just used as cosmetic pieces.

I would say another idea may be to add armor pieces to the drop like purple weapons.
It is lot easier to help someone run dungeon, even lower level, as weapon or armor can drop, than to find two people and mindlessly spam it.

so what you're saying is to not make it as simple as a market purchase and make it a drop with less people. Unless i'm reading it wrong at this early hour.
If so i already mentioned dropping the requirement from 3 ppl in the past and was told no.

That's a lot more work for something that isn't a critical change.

I personally do not like the idea of adding things that are primarily obtained in game to the marketplace, so it really depends on the tastes of the players.

I mean, no one wants Laedis 94 gacha for $3 per random item, right?

I would LOOOOVE it if the party requirement was dropped from 3 players to 1 player to get mats for purple gear from wintertide-olandra. Please make this happen for the sake of my costumes. @.@

i never said laedis...i said the purple zone sets that require 3 ppl. You already said that dropping the requirements to actually get the mats would be more work than market items. Plus the market sets on EU include the full set not mats like laedis.

That was more of an extreme example, because it's ridiculous they even did that.

I'll have to see about adding the sets, as it'll mean looking them up and all that.

If you guys start listing names I'll start adding them when I have free time.

I really do not like the idea of Armor being in the market. It is hard for a reason. It is suppose to be a challenge to get them all. And also, these armoirs were end game armors when those maps were the last make while the game was in production. I can see making the dungeon easier to run on hard since they are no longer the end game dungeons, but to just out rite sell them in the marketplace....

IDK, I gives me a bad vibe. If they were skins only maybe. By some is could be seen as PTW and this game just starting to get a foothold and take off again, that label would drive people away.

I really do not have a good solution, but what about adding the id tag to the loot table of the bosses for the middle difficulty for those said dungeons? I know it is possible for other games, but IDK how this games engine differs from those that run on UE4 or Unity.

They're talking about them being on both the Diamond, and the Shell shop.

Time to beat a dead bush here. Is it possible at all to drop the party requirements from 3 to 1 when farming outdated purple gear sets from wintertide to Alentia? You can solo farm relevant orange sets so why can't we solo farm worthless sets that only look cool? Please, make this happen in some way like adding loot bubbles like in olandra? We can solo farm that purple set! So please, consider it. I am sure you will see a rise in activity even by doing this.

With the exception of end game gear, all top tier gear before the final end game gear should be easily obtainable. This alone is the most important motivating factor to play the game till the end. Whether you do this by allowing us to buy it from marketplace with dragon insignias or by letting it drop from solo dungeons is up to you. I personally prefer to get them from solo dungeon than killing sheeps and cows from daily quests, that just doesn't make sense lol.

They're not getting added to the market as I hate adding in-game rewards to the market. It's also a lot of items that have to be manually added, and that would take quite a while just to get the list together.

When the data tool is finished we should hopefully be able to remove the restriction, but that depends on how they placed the restriction.

So after spending like 2 hours trying to find this topic again, can someone give me the list of armors that are wanted so I can see how they have implemented this.

Because Runewanker, in their infinite brilliance does things in such a stupid way sometimes, I may be able to do this in a much easier fashion, though it depends on how it was done. To do that however, I will need names so I can look up the individual ID's.

Party requirement was removed for all but Dragonheart Temple, so you can just do the dungeons as you normally would.
